I posted a reply already on this or a similar question. The best way to
have two printers on one computer is to buy a parallel port card. I bought
a cheap one from BEST BUy here in Michigan for $10 (Digital Research). The
best $10 I ever spent on the computer. It simple and it works. Even print
and scan simultaneously.

Don't mess around with a switch. It can damage either or both the printer
and computer and usually voids printer warranties.

Even if the card costs $50 its worth it.

Dear Dennis,

Thanks for your advice.

What good is a switch if every time for a changeover the computer has to be
switched off? Might as well change the cable on powering down and save the
cost of the switch. Am I right or have understood something wrong?
