should this post to PCsoft?

Anyway, you don't have to reinstall software, all you need to do is to
change patch in registry. You can do it with Regedit.
Here is how:
Click Start -> run -> type in regedit and enter. Now you should see a window
that show you the windows registry. From Edit menu, -> Find, search the
software name you want to change patch (eg. Msoffice), you should get the
result under Hkey_local_machine, under Hkey_local_machine, you should see
Software subkey, under software, there are lists of software you installed
and their registry values (include patch), you can make change there.

could someone please write a better "How to" guide on Regedit? I don't feel
I can explain clearly on how to use it.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Drive letters?

> I have just added a new harddrive to my computer and it works fine BUT it
has become the D and E drives (I partitioned it) and my CDRom is now the F
drive.
> The problem is when I try to run programs from Start - Programs - ? and
they are programs that need info off their CD they won't run because the
Path is incorrect. How do I correct this? The only articles I find in
Microsoft KB tell me how to prevent this from happening by taking steps with
a new computer. Well I've had this computer a year and a half so I have lots
of CD programs loaded. Do I have to uninstall them ALL and reinstall them to
get them pointing down the right path or is there an easier way to fix this?
