Hi

If they are the ones I am thinking of, they use a torx bit to remove them.

Most any computer repair shop will have a collection of screws that will
include these.

If you are in the US, send me an address off list and I'll send you a half
dozen.

Thanks,

Joe Lore

Subject: [PCBUILD] big headed hard drive screws

I have a recent Compaq and a HP desktop that I'd like to add additional
hard drives to. I opened them up and I see the hard drives have some kind of
big headed screws that attach to the side of the drives in the regular way
but they slide into channels and lock in place with a plastic bracket. If I
had some of those "big headed screws" it would be a snap but I can't seem to
find anywhere where I can buy any. Anybody know what they might be called or
where I could send for some? Thanks.
