You can use a program such as Partition Magic to delete or create
partitions on a hard drive....don't know why you would want to get rid
of a perfectly good partition (as long as it is operation fine) but to
each his own....but one hint....even those these programs such as
Partition Magic are made to do what we are talking about here it is
always a good idea to back up any information of both of your partitions
just to be on the safe side...

After a HD has been partitioned into one or more partitions and then an
operating system and software has been added to the primary partition,
but nothing added to the secondary partitions, can the additional
partitions be eliminated so that there is only one primary partition and
all of this done without causing problems with the installed software.
Sorry for the long sentence.

Thanks,

Ken
