     There is no said rule as to how HDs and CDROMs should be hooked up,
alot of people have theories and practices they follow, but I have found
with modern hardware it almost never makes a difference any more. And then
there are cases like yours! :) If you ever find out why your controller
doesn't like both drives on the primary please let us know. I myself had a
problem like this as well, nothing on the secondary channel wanted to be
recognized. Turned out that the secondary channel would only be recognized
if the primary channel was full, both master and slave?! Never figured that
one out either, but at least it now works. Glad you got it working, TTYL
