I flash-upgraded my USR (3com) Sportser External Fax Modem to V90 (from
X2); the upgrade was successful (as far as I know) and I also downloaded
the recommended new
drivers and replaced the current .inf file with the new one as
instructed. The modem works fine, but the connection rate shows as
115,200, the max modem -to-cpu rate; the actual rate
I've been accustomed to is 45-48 range. I have seen this addressed
before in this newsgroup,
but can't remember the workaround. How do I get my modem to reflect the
actual connection rate? Model is 0001786-00. Thanks.
