thanks david and also lynn tracy for your posts.i will take your advise.actually i misunderstood lynns original post because it seemed to say that knoppix linux does not load to your hard drive unless one chooses to do so and she also said she burns the image with nero.so the fool that i am i thought hey here is a way to directly burn the cd from knoppix site!anyway thanks a lot and have a great day-venkat
