Hi Kari

DOS only uses 64 MB, so I don't think the fact that DOS
loaded necessarily means that the new memory is good. Also,
the memory self test at boot time is not real thorough.
(I assume that the computer does detect 192 MB at boot.)

I've heard it said that Windows itself is the best software
RAM tester. Also, Win9X is supposed to utilize memory
from the top down, so it would definitely provide a tough
"test" for your new memory module.

My suggestion would be to remove the 64 MB module from its
slot and see it the 128 MB module will work by itself.
If it doesn't work by itself in the 2nd RAM slot, move it
to the first slot and see if that helps.
