Hi Michael,

Try the one closest to the CPU slot (the black one?). If the computer starts
you're in business. If not, try the lone one, than the third.

Subject: [PCBUILD] RAM slot question on an Asus A7N8X-X board

I am assembling a new computer: Asus
A7N8X-X board, Athlon mobile XP 2400+
processor, etc.

On this board there are 3 RAM slots, 2 close
together and one separated somewhat.
The manual of the board does not mention
any preferred slot.

My question: does it make any difference
which RAM slot the 512MB Kingston stick
of RAM goes into?

Thanks in advance for your help.
