hi,
i have an athlon 1.4ghz processor running on an
asus a7v133 mobo. the bios is AWARD 1005a. i have
been getting a strange problem. when i power up the
system, after the POST, it just hangs and the
hard disk activity indicator stays on for a long time.
this does not happen everytime, only once in a while.
rarely it hangs after detecting my harddisk and cdrom
drives. i have updated the bios to 1009, performed a
surface test that shows no errors, installed new
via 4-in-1 drivers but there is no change. am i missing
something? i had to change my hard drive earlier because
it got damaged. i don't want that happen to this drive
too (if it is a problem with the hard disk).
 any thoughts and solutions?
 tia.
