The Epson740 is a pretty decent color printer and that is the price
many
resellers are charging for a refurb.unit, so I think it's a safe buy. Just
keep in mind (as past posts have shown) that the Epsons have the head
mounted on the carriage, so if your planning on doing your own refilling of
cartridges, you have to be extra careful. They are surprisingly costly to
repair, even if you buy the parts and D.I.Y.!!You may wish to check out the
newer 2 head Lexmarks. They have a new head on each cartridge. You pay more
for the cartridges, but you can refill them 4-6 times and then you get a
brand new head on the next cartridge. They do really well with photos!Hope
i've helped
