I just finished installing Word 6.0 on my PC (16 disks) and everything was
working OK. So I inserted a floppy in Drive A: with a word97 converter file
that I wanted to copy to a subdirectory on C: and it wouldn't copy it. When
I tried to do it from DOS I got a message that said "Sector not found
reading drive A, Fail on Int 24. I checked the cables and everything looked
OK. Now I can't get it to boot at all. When I power up, the monitor gives
me a dark grey screen, and eventually I get an intermittent long beep
sound. Any ideas?
