Most versions of XP recognize card readers and cards without any software to download or install. I've never had a problem with XP in this regard. The answer for both questions is that you need to do nothing at all beyond plugging in the reader and inserting the card.

Subject: [PCBUILD] hauppage wintv 2689 / pvr150 question + DELL 5150 Media card reader Question

Hi all,

Q1
Under windows XP media what the latest version of the Wintv 2689 / pvr 150
drivers / software which will work correctly with the media centre tv app.
?what is the URL used to download them ?

Q2 On a dell 5150 PC Under window XP media centre edition which app should
be installed so that the xd, sd media card reader recognises a card being
inserted into the reader and automatically displays the contents of the
card.
Which Dell CD does this app come on ? or is it downloaded from the web ?

Currently I can get the media card reader in the Dell 5150 PC to be
recognised as various drive letters One for each type of media (under XP
media centre edition). Would SD media be directly accessible if we access
like a hard disk ? via an assigned drive letter (using cmd line or windows
explorer)
The SD card being used is supposed to readable in a USB SD media card
reader.
