I have a Pentium II 300 MHz with 96 MB RAM running Windows 98 SE. I had a
UMAX parallel port scanner that came with a utility to use it as a copy
machine. A month ago it started getting illegal operation messages and not
working. I purchased a new USB Primascan 2400U scanner and hooked it up. It
scans fine using MGI Photo Suite but I got a new copy utility and installed
it and it will not work. It start to scan and the illegal operation box pops
up. If I click details I get the following message,

COPIER caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7b9f6.

Could anyone help me with this or hazard a guess as to what the problem is.
Is it a Windows problem, a scanner problem or software? Any and all
suggestions would be appreciated. TIA
