I just installed an A-Trend motherboard with a Celeron 700mhz p[rocessor--128mb ram---via694x chipset etc. etc. Running Win98SE. On boot up,everything goes real nice until windows informs me that there is no mouse detected and I can safely install a serial mouse then or, if I want a ps2 mouse I must first turn off the computer. I turn off the machine and restart it and the mouse sometimes comes up or windows puts me in the safe mode screen. I shut down and re-boot and everything loads normally and, the ps2 mouse works fine as long as I don't power down again. Then it does the same thing again until I power down again and it detects the mouse on the second try every time. What could be the problem? For sure I don't know. Help please. Thanks Ed Bogert
