I need to upgrade my CD-ROM Driver in order to be able to install Microsoft Home Publishing Suite 2000. The manufacturer's (USDrives) web page states that only update drivers for DOS/Windows 3.1 are provided. Windows 95/98/NT/OS/2,etc have built-in ATAPI drivers that enables IDE CD-ROMs to work.

How do I go around this and be able to install the software? My model number is 24DT.

I have another problem with my floppy drive. It activates at least twice during startup - once during POST and the others during loading of Desktop. Sometimes opening a folder on drive C: also activates the floppy drive. What can I do to stop this? I have 62MB RAM and use AMD-6K. Free space on C: is 3.58GB. Used space is 1.2GB.
