I was just checking these last week and got the following prices:
J&R Computer World:  $100. for a 12x Adonix (I don't know how good that
brand is)
(800)221-8180         180. for a 24x   "

CDW:                 $188. for an 8x Backpack (Microsolutions)
(800)596-4239         219. for a 32x   "

Does anyone have any experience with the Adonics?  I have the same
dilemma about not wanting to put any more money into an old computer.
