Try the following site for Beep Codes for the various BIOS manufacturers.
You did not mention which BIOS you had or this response could be more
definitive.

http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

Hope this helps you track down the cause of the problem.

Subject: [PCBUILD] New Build not working

I just finished building my first computer and it doesn't seem to be
working. I powered it on, and it initially worked. I was able to get to
the set-up of the BIOS, and I messed with some of the settings. I honestly
don't remember what I did except for a few things: set the system clock and
make the CD-ROM the 1st boot drive so that I could install Windows. It
started going through the Windows installation and started to format the
hard drive, but it just froze at 51%. My friend restarted the computer, and
we tried to go back into the BIOS, but it froze at the opening logo for my
mobo. Now, when I turn on the computer, the fans run and the lights turn
on, but nothing shows up on the screen. There is a periodic 1-second long
beep every 2 or 3 seconds, but nothing else happens. I tried reseting the
mobo (removing the battery and moving one of the jumpers for about 10
seconds), but that didn't help. Can anybody help me on this?
Relevant Info:
Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
CPU: Athlon 64 3800+
Memory: 2GB OCZ High Performance

Is there any other information that would be of use?
Thanks
