I tried a very similar modem in the slot and it worked fine.
I think I've fixed the problem...I took the modem out, put on my
anti-static strap and gave a gentle push to the chip on the modem that has
the little claws on it. I then popped the modem into two different
computers and it went fine. I am yet to try it in the computer that has
been giving me probs. Will keep you posted
