Hi,
        Stupid Question.  Are you sure the Sound Blaster Card was IDE.
O'K, if it is, check the command line.  My father-in-law had an
identical problem, and it was caused by one of the options in the driver
line.  It seems that CL has an option that tells it which contoller it
is on.  Change that option, and it fixes it.  I think the option is /P:
but I'm not sure.  Check your documentation.
