  Subject: [PCBUILD] Win XP upgrade problem

  <SNIP>

  Also I have a U.S. Robotics modem ( Mod. 5699B ) installed
  since Jan. 2003 that has a phone call notification that notifies me of a call when I am online and receive a call. This function has stopped working. I reinstalled the modem software but that did not cure it. I went to the U. S. Robotics web site and downloaded a new driver but that didn't help.When a call comes in, the caller hears the ring tone ( call waiting ok. )but the computer does not sense the call. Any help will be very welcome..

   Jim the software included with the modem included a communications suite, I suspect you will have to install that to get full functionality of your modem. You will find it on the original installation CD
