You should boot to safemode do a scandisk >auto fix
errors

How much space is free on your C: partition?

Free up space if you have less than 1 GB free
use sequoia file viewer.

scan for spyware and virus.  Use hijackthis, adaware
se, spywareblaster, Avast antivirus, sygate or zone
alarm firewall, Winpatrol, cookie firewall, popthis
popup blocker.
