Well my solution to the problem is to put win95 on a zip drive because I
have run into quite a few folks that either don't have 1: a CD-ROM or 2:
the drivers for there CD-ROM. The zipdrive solution will allow you to
install the OS. The cost of an external zipdrive is about $140.00 to
199.00(ZIP+)retail. The ZIP+ will work on both SCSI and parallel.I would
agree that running win95 on a 486 will probably be more hassle than its
worth. I ran win95 on a 386 DX 40 for a SHORT time. it can be done but its
also painfully slow.
