Hello Don,

Your Questions:
1.Is it possible to transfer this program from the older computer to the
newer?

Yes, but with reservations.
You didn't mention Operating Systems on each.

There are programs that can do this, but most will still require
re-registration.

I've done this a few times manually by comparing program installation
folders
and copying Data, plus comparing Registry values and applying the same
to the new installation.

Since you already have installed the program, you also have a base to
compare
with the program on the older computer. Program files and Registry.
Export the the registry keys that pertain to the program or just the ones
pertaining to registration data and key code.

2."If not, would there be any problems
switching the hard drives? both computers appear to be similar.

Yes ,there would be problems, since the old drive doesn't match
the new hardware. They may " appear" similar, but obviously
they're not the same or identical.
That's apart from any OS differences.

I think you can clearly see what the pros an cons are.
Leaving the drives in place and just manipulating the program's values
is easier than trying to adapt the old drive to the new machine,
but that's just my opinion.

Sure, you can probably make the switch work, but with more trouble.

Hope this will help

Peter E.
