Fred,
I've done some investigation into using fixed frequency monitors with
PCs.
You can get good monitor info from:
http://www.si87.com/Support/monitorinfo.html
http://www.monitorworld.com/monitors_home.html
I selected the Saturn GL video card from Software Integrators because I
wanted to test a number of different types of monitors. This card
contains
info on 60+ monitor "types" and would allow me to switch via a software
utility. Fixed frequency video cards are also available from:
http://www.mirage-mmc.com/core.html
http://www.si87.com/Products/Videocards/videocards.html
Other vendors may be found by doing a search on
fixed frequency video cards.

Let me know if you want more info.
