Last time I saw something like that, it also had random freezes
and lots of blue screens --- eventually...
The hard drive went totally "bad" just as I arrived to look at it.

Back at "my house" the HD was almost entirely inaccessable.

At the very least, figure out what you want off that HD and
backup or "get off" that stuff...
