Art,

These are good questions but there is one important one that needs to
be asked first...are the hubs active or passive?...my understanding
is that with passive hubs you divide by half the distance that can be
be bridged to the next machine and/or hub. If you have 4 hubs none of
which are active and no repeaters you could effectively have NO
transmission by the time the info reaches the 4th hub.

Not being a Networking expert (yet <g>)..I will leave it to the
others who do this work daily to say if this is so or not.
