well i have a h/p pavilion,4473 with a 4.7 quantum fireball h/d.and a celoron 400 cpu with 94 megs of ram well it has win.98/win nt5.0,not real familer with nt5.0 well they hit a virius with and all it would do is boot to win logo and then the color would scramble up,and of course they dont have org.software so i tryed booting it with win 98 boot disk and got it to go menu and tryed to reformat and reinstall win 98 se.but now it only says when it scandisks system it say it has errors on the drive and when i try ti fix them it says cant fix and wants me to make undo disks with i tryed and then it say invaliad file reading and i try to fix and it wont does that mean the hard drive is shot or iam i not doing it right can i install win.98 se on this drive or am i useing the wrong software, if so were can i get the right software cosidering iam ona tight bugget and my frind are even on a tighter one can i istall a new drive and put just win,98 on it plaese any help would be great thank ahead of time jerry the fat boy crider
