I have a Soyo LX chipset MB.  I have never been able to keep the DMA box
checked in device manager for the primary master drive, a Quantum 10G udma
ata 66, 7200 drive.  I assumed the MB didnt support it.  However when I
hooked up another harddrive on the secondary controller as a master, a WD
20G, DMA stays checked for this drive.  I have checked thru the bios, but
havent found anything that might seem to enable it on the primary.  Any help
appreciated.
