Thanks for the info on why this doesn't work in DOS mode. If you read just a
little farther down my previous message, you will see that I attempted from
an MS-DOS box in Win95 and got an illegal operation/terminate the MS-DOS
prompt as soon as the MS-DOS box opens folowed by a BSD/fatal exception
error when I close the MS-DOS prompt error message. I never have a chance to
attempt to ping. Running winipcng shows that the Win95 laptop IS getting an
IP address from the DHCP.
