I have recently been upgraded to a Microsoft Millenium Edition ME and
since then have been attempting to install a Mustek1200IIIEP using a
scanner Installation CD. It is a simple process, even for a neophyte like
me, and works ahead by itself until it reaches the point where it is to
install the Textbridge Classic portion. When it comes to the select driver
I select Twain then it proceeds to the select scanner screen. Here there
is no choice and I cannot enter one. I have been told by their Internet
frequently asked questions that this choice is not necessary and to simply
exit. When I do this a very small instruction screen shows and says that
momentarily the installation will proceed. It never does start so I go
forward to the iphotoPlus 4 installation and complete it. However, on
attempting to prescan a picture, having chosen colour I get seamy black
and most of the corrections and enhancements do not respond. I have
uninstalled a few times and on installing again I get the same result. I
have not been able to get as picture in usable form.
This scanner is not new but appears to be in excellent condition. We were
not able to use the cord supplied with the scanner since the fittings would
not work.
Can you suggest how I can solve this dilemma or is it possible that this
model will never work with my computer or my printer which is an Epson
Stylus 660.
I would appreciate all suggestions any of you can give me. Thank you.
