I think a single long beep indicates a video problem, which is consistent
with a blank screen.  Did you hook up the external power connector to your
video card, if it requires one?  If you are running two video cards in SLI
mode I believe there is yet another power connector on the motherboard that
needs to be used.  Finally, alot of people are finding that older or lower
end power supplies aren't up to the task of running both a high end
processor and a high end video card (let alone two of these video cards).
