I have a unit with a 1.2 G AMD processor running Win2K. It was
working fine and was left on all night to start a tape backup. In the
morning upon turning on the monitor we found a floating no signal
video cable error. On reboot it will light up the hard drive light
briefly. It does not boot from 3.5 or CDROM. I tried taking out all
the cards except the video. I tried different slot on the video card.
I tried a different battery. I tried different video cards. I tried
removing all the RAM. It was working fine when it was left on. I do
not believe anyone was there after hours. I looked at the jumper
setting, I believe it is correct. The unit has Norton anti-virus,
Zonealarm Pro and Mailwasher installed.

I tried the hard drive in a different unit. It starts up windows 2K
and goes into a continue reboot. It will not go into safe mode.

Has anybody seen this :(

Could it be the bios?
The hard drive is puzzling to me?
Please submit ideas.
They are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Richard F. Bolha
