Strange;
    Recently, I have copied a CD to my HDD using 'xcopy' (without
r/i/c/h/k/y), and found that lots of files that had long names were cutted
to ~1, ~2...  It's a quite recent xcopy, the one that came with win98. Are
you sure it's alwais longname aware?
