Hi all,

Briefly, here's my network setup:

dsl modem --> Lynksys 5 Port Hub

Computer A and B both connected to hub.

        Both A and B show:

        Client for Microsoft Networks
        Their Ethernet Adapter
        NetBEUI
        TCP/IP
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.

        Primary Network Logon: Windows Logon

They both are set to share files and printers.

Here's the problem:

In network neighborhood, Computer A sees only computer A.

Computer B sees both computer A and computer B and all file sharing on
computer B works just as it should with no file corruption.

The network used to work correctly. After I pulled the motherboard to
insert a new processor in computer B and reassembled the system I started
having this problem. I temporarily fixed it by fiddling with settings and
then returning to the existing setup and rebooting. Unfortunately the
problem came back for no explainable reason (except maybe that computers
were rebooted).

Can anyone help with suggestions,

TIA,

Bill Nussbaumer
