Thanks to all for their suggestions.  I had actually tried everything
that was offered already.  When I first installed the card it showed in
system manager as IDE controller.  I downloaded and installed updated
driver from Siig website, and lo and behold, card now appeared as a
SCSI.  Everything now working.   Thanks again to all for suggestions.
