Hello Michael,
There are products out there in the market that do what you want. They
are normally call 'multiplexers' (in my part of the world anyway).
Not only will you be able to switch between monitors, you can share
mouse and keyboards too. I have not seen any for speaker yet, so I am
not sure. The mechanical ones are cheaper, probably about US$30 - US$50
while the digital ones are better but more expensive ;^)
