We use a used compaq deskpro, (older pc) with windows 2000
we have recently had a lot of trouble starting the pc, normally just runs
and never boots up,
now it runs and when the OS loads a winnt32 system error box pops up, and
the computer then crashes. We can start the
system in safe mode, but every attempt to troubleshoot, defrag,a nd so on
won;t work because the tools won't load so that we
can run the programs. I believe that the problem is that the comp either has
a virus or a lot of spyware, that stalls the system by loading
at boot up. What can i do to fix this problem i really don't knw much about
windows 2000 profesional.
