Just a few quick thoughts.....do you have someone who would let you install
your processor in their M/B? If it works, then the problem is likely the
M/B....If the M/B appears to be the culprit, check the mfg web site to see
if there is a thread on this problem. Also see if they offer a newer
version of the BIOS for this board,,,,sometimes a bug shows up in their
software and they offer a patch....is the shutdown temp in the BIOS set too
low?   Although it's unusual, M/Bs sometimes are junk from the
factory....maybe they can  repair/replace under warrantee considering the
circumstances.

  When I turn the computer on, it just beeps at me with two tones, one
higher, one lower. It is my understanding that this is the signal that the
processor is too hot.
