>I purchased a 3 1/2" floppy from one of my suppliers, which is supposed
to have some much needed information on it. Well, when you try to open
it, a message says the disk is not formatted, would you like to format
it now?

Might be nothing there, but if anything could salvage it I would have
to bet on Norton Unerase and/or Norton Disk Doctor. I once bought a copy
of LapLink with cables back in 1991 for $25 (full price was $100) on the
salvage table at Sam's. It had a 5.25 and 3.5 disks. Both were corrupt.
I salvaged the 3.5 with NDD.
