Hello! I am dealing with a network that has a desktop with Win98SE and a
laptop with XP. Due to the way the household works, the desktop wants to be
the connection to the internet and the laptops wants to share that
connection now and again. Alas, I cannot get the laptop to use the desktop's
(dialup) connection.

I have: enabled ICS on the desktop and done the "set up a home network"
routine in XP with the choice of "use another computer or a gateway as your
internet connection". The network works fine in both directions, and there
are no firewalls in use on either machine. The laptop and the desktop can
individually connect to the internet with no problems.

Ouside of enabling ICS on the Win98 machine, I haven't done anything else to
that computer. All the proper components are listed in the Network
Neighborhood Properties dialog box.

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.

Thanks! Will Stephenson
