Hi Alan,

Thanks for the answer. That option is not available in win98SE.
Only thing there is enable/disable WINS resolution and use DHCP
for WINS Resolution.
That's okay, since the problem was solved when the other half
asked if Zone Alarm could have anything to do with it. He has ZA
Free on his. Well, I slapped myself upside the head a few times,
then had him set his ethernet adapter to a trusted zone. It was
internet only till then. Truly, I'm surprised the darn thing even found
the other computers. Now it's up to speed, the rest of the network
pops right up for him.

select properties. Highlight TC/IP and go to properties/advanced/WINS.
Uncheck - "Enable LMHOSTS lookup" and select "Disable NetBIOS over TC/IP".
This worked for me. Although I am running XP on my computer, it should work
with Win98.
