Mick,

Go to www.cyberguys.com and search for part number "105 0050".  It can also
be found under "Switchboxes" around page 9. This is a two port RJ45 switch
box for $8.55.  It will do what you want buy leaving one of the two "out"
ports open so when you switch to it, your not connected to anything.

What I would like to be able to do is 'physically' remove and add my PC
from/on the network.
Is it possible to add an on/off switch (so that it's located in a convenient
place) with the network cable running through it?
