I have a similar problem, the floppy worked until I enabled the 2 USB ports
on the motherboard then something called Floppy1 was found and the A: drive
disappeared.. It shows in the boot but not in windows and it has a yellow !
in the system.. Perhaps there's a conflict somehow in the bios.  Make sure
all IRQs are assigned and also perhaps try to update driver from the
motherboard CD and not win2k.
