ok i will try to make it as simple as possible i have 2000 server edition server running on dsl with a 4 port hub and there is 2 people on that local
network and i have one person that vpn's in to the server then does the remote desktop as a user of that server ok now that all works but on the client side i can do a search for computers and it will find the server fine i can even map the server drive to the client if i want but i can not search for the clients computer from the server it will not find it i am wanting to let the client print from the serverat the clients house i can search for network printers and it will find it just fine but it says invalid printer name etc... but it shows it there? now i can go to my isp location and vpn in to the server and then do the remote desktop and it all works perfect i can see all drives and printers and even print so i know its not on the server side the client side uses xp pro keep in mind i had this working and it just quit for no reason there is no virus's and i even went back to the day it was working using the recovery feature. also i made sure all permission where set i have them all wide open for now.
 any ideas thanks............
