Have you placed a 3.5" floppy in the drive when you try to access it
as drive A: ?

Altho I have never had any experience with that type of drive I would
assume it to show up as two drive letters one as A: and another as D:
and be accessible depending on the Media used i.e. standard 3.5" floppy
or LS120 media.
