I have a Gateway 500 desktop, purchased in 1998 which contains more than 600 photos in Kodak Easy Share program. I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I set up a router for the laptop. I was hoping to transfer all of those pictures to the laptop in order to be able to burn the pictures to CDs, a function I don't have with the Gateway. I thought I could do that, using a flash drive to transfer them, but the Gateway doesn't recognize it and I'm unable to figure out any other way of transferring the pictures except by the laborious process of e-mailing them. Someone told me that connecting the laptop to the router using an ethernet cable would accomplish this task. I'm looking to the experts for any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
