I have been looking for an Intel Pentium 233 processor with MMX but have
been unable to find any in stock except for one place in California. They
are asking $180 for the chip which is too high
for me. About 6 weeks ago they were sellling for $125. All the dealers I
have contacted say that the chip is on back order but Intel tells me that
the chip has been discontinued. Intel did say that they were going to
honor backorders from vendors, so even though they are not making any new
233/MMx processors, apparently they have some in inventory. Can you give
me any info on this? Is there some vendor that you are aware of that has
this chip at a reasonable price? I do not have Internet access so all I
can use is the vendor's phone number.
