I have an older QDI MOBO. It is configurable, e.g AT or ATX, SIMM or DIMM
w/P233mmx. I had 96 MB of 72 pin SIMM. It worked fine. I decided to upgrade
to 128 MB PC66 DIMM. I took out the old SIMM's pieces, put in the 2 new
DIMMs and WHA LA. A very noticeable speed and overall "feel" improvement. Now
I have 4 sticks of SIMMs to put into my daughters older 586's. The tech
people at QDI and Crucial both told me not to mix SIMM and DIMM. I didn't
even try and all worked out well. Hope this may help.
