Probably the labels screwed them up. YOu have to get them on just right, and exactly centered.  The labels have enough weight to cause the disks to spin in a slighly unbalance way which will make them hard or impossible to read.

It seems that after I put labels on the cd's, using memorex type labels, i can no longer play them in my car only. They skip and sound scratchy after a few songs have played. I wonder if anyone has any ideas as to why this happened. The cd's are not scratched.
